I really enjoyed this article and find the comments so useful! It’s really nice to hear about what I should be doing for my design career in addition to my school work. I really connected with Emily Lewis’s comment because I feel like this is what I’ve decided to dedicate my extra time to to get better:
“Read, read, read what is out there, even if you don’t understand it all. Eventually, it will start to “click.” And then, practice, practice, practice. Make your own site/portfolio/blog and implement the “cool” things you read about, even if it take hours to get it to work. You’ll never forget something you had to pull your hair out to get working.”
These are some things that I’m definitely going to work on. I started the blog already, and I’m going to integrate the rest of her advice into it.
